How we check prices
Every dollar (and plan limit) in a BizHacks Daily guide is supposed to come from a vendor’s own pricing or help page, with a date we checked it.
What counts as a source
We open the company’s public pricing page, plan comparison, or help article that states the fee or limit. That URL is linked in the guide. Marketing slogans without a number are not treated as prices.
What we write down
- The figure as published (for example $19/month or £X — only if the vendor page shows that currency).
- Whether billing is monthly or annual.
- Named caps (users, contacts, invoices) when the vendor lists them.
- The calendar date the page was checked.
Taxes and other countries
Many vendors show USD list prices and add UK VAT, Australian GST, or Canadian GST/HST at checkout. When a vendor says local taxes apply, we say so. We do not invent GBP, AUD, or CAD conversions. Confirm the regional checkout total before you pay.
What we do not invent
We do not invent survey results, “X% of businesses,” customer star ratings, or quotes from unnamed users. Desk scores on articles are editorial summaries of how clear the vendor’s own pages were for a solo shop — not lab benchmarks or paid placements.
Corrections
Vendors change prices. If you see a stale figure, send a correction with the guide URL and the vendor page you checked. We update from the vendor page, not from memory.
